The AK-IT88S-INWALL is Akuvox’s IT88S in the in-wall (flush-mount) version. It has the same Android 9 electronics and I/O as the on-wall IT88S, but is supplied with a flush-mounting bracket so the screen sits recessed for a cleaner, built-in look.

This SKU is the in-wall indoor monitor only.

You receive the IT88S monitor with its flush-mounting bracket, cables and screws. The in-wall mounting box, door stations, PoE switch and lock hardware are sold separately.

Recessed, not stuck on.

The in-wall IT88S is supplied with a flush-mounting bracket. A dedicated in-wall box is fitted in the wall first, then the bracket and monitor fit into it so the screen sits close to the wall surface.

Plan the box at the framing or plastering stage — new builds and renovations suit this version best.

Fit the box

Install the IT88 in-wall box in the wall cavity and bring the cabling into it.

Mount

Fix the flush-mounting bracket, connect the 10/11-pin cables and seat the monitor.

Power and register

Run 802.3af PoE (or 12 V DC), then add your Akuvox door stations or SIP PBX in the web portal.

Test

Call from the door, check video and audio, and confirm the relays release the right lock.

Is this a monitor or a mounting kit?

It is the IT88S indoor monitor itself. “In-wall” is the version: it is supplied with a flush-mounting bracket for a recessed install.

What else do I need for in-wall mounting?

A dedicated IT88 in-wall (flush-mounting) box installed in the wall cavity. It is sold separately.

How is IT88S different from IT88P?

Same 10-inch Android 9 housing and I/O. IT88S has a 1280 × 800 screen; IT88P steps up to 1920 × 1200 and adds a built-in SIP PBX.

What power does it need?

IEEE 802.3af PoE, or a 12 V DC supply if PoE is not available.

Can I put it on a desk?

Choose an on-wall IT88 for desk use. The in-wall version is designed to sit flush in its wall box.

Installation & safety notice

Low-voltage product (SELV). Power from IEEE 802.3af PoE, or a 12 V DC supply when PoE is not used, as stated by Akuvox for the IT88 series. Treat as SELV low-voltage equipment.

When a licensed tradesperson is required. Concealed data and intercom cabling is customer cabling under AS/CA S009 and must be installed by an ACMA-registered cabler. Electric locks, maglocks and lock power supplies may require a licensed electrician or security installer.
