Answers
Common questions
How is R25A different from R20A?
Same 145 × 85 mm single-button format and two relays. R25A adds a 4 MP fisheye camera covering 150° × 150°, a space grey brushed finish and a −40 °C to +55 °C working range; R20A has a 2 MP 110° × 58° camera but stores more credentials (20,000 cards against 5,000).
How many cards and users does it store?
Up to 5,000 cards, 1,000 users and 1,000 contacts. For bigger card lists the R20A stores 20,000 cards, and the keypad R25K 25,000.
Does it fit R20A mounting accessories?
Yes. The R20A / R25A in-wall kit and angle bracket are drawn for the R25A in Akuvox’s dimension drawings, and the R20A / R25A rain hoods suit the same 145 × 85 mm housing and wall bracket. Use the black versions with this model.
What power does it need?
IEEE 802.3af PoE over the network cable, or a 12 V DC 1 A adapter. On 12 V DC keep the power run within 50 m on 20 AWG, 40 m on 22 AWG or 20 m on 24 AWG cable.
Does it have a keypad?
No — one call button plus card, NFC and app entry. For a keypad with the same fisheye camera choose the R25K.
Will it record to my NVR?
Yes. The R25A supports ONVIF and RTSP, so ONVIF-capable NVRs can add it as a camera channel and record the fisheye view.
What comes in the box?
The door phone with its wall-mounting bracket and fixings, wiring cover, rubber cable plugs and two diodes for lock coils. Indoor monitor, power supply and lock hardware are sold separately.
A wider view at the front door.
Choose R25A over R20A when you want the 4 MP fisheye picture and a dark brushed finish; need a keypad too? See the R25K.
