Warn them off in 4K.
Light, sound and two-way talk.
This is the Uniarch IPC-T1P8-AF28KC. The 8MP (4K) Tri-guard turret in white. It records in 4K, picks out people and vehicles, and when one crosses your line it switches on a warning light and plays a warning sound through its speaker.
In one sentence: the IPC-T1P8-AF28KC is a white 8MP (3840 × 2160) Tri-guard turret with a warning light, speaker and mic, person and vehicle filtering, a 2.8 mm F1.6 lens, 106.7° view, 30 m IR and IP67, powered by PoE.
One camera, one Cat6 cable.
Video and power share a single Cat6 run from a PoE recorder or switch. Mounts and a memory card are optional.
- IPC-T1P8-AF28KC camera
- Fixing screws and drill template
- Quick guide
- A PoE NVR or switch (802.3af), or a 12 V DC supply
- Cat6 cable to the camera
- A microSD card up to 256GB, to record on the camera
- TR-JB03-G-IN junction box or TR-WM03-D-IN wall mount, if needed
Deterrence plus the detail to prove it.
If the warning does not work, you still have 4K footage. Uniarch rates it to identify a person at 8.7 m and recognise someone known at 17.4 m, the furthest of its Tri-guard turrets, with colour down to 0.003 lux.

Design
Lens, warning light and IR together.
The warning light sits just below the 2.8 mm lens in the eyeball. The ball pans 360°, tilts 0–90° and rotates 360° in its metal base.

Sound
Speak to visitors, warn intruders.
The built-in speaker plays the warning or your voice from the app. The microphone records sound and lets you hear the reply.
How it goes in
From the box to recording.
01
Pick the spot
High enough to be out of easy reach, close enough to see faces, with a route for one Cat6 cable. Under an eave keeps sun and rain off the lens.
02
Fix the base
Screw the base to the wall or eave, or onto a TR-JB03-G-IN junction box so the cable joint is enclosed.
03
Plug it in
Run Cat6 to a PoE port on the NVR or a PoE switch. The camera powers up from the cable.
04
Aim and draw zones
Turn the eyeball to frame the view, add it to the NVR or app, then draw the lines and zones that should set off the light and sound.

Common questions
What does the warning light and speaker do?
When someone crosses a line or walks into a zone you have drawn, the camera switches on its warning light and plays a warning sound through its speaker. The person knows straight away they have been seen, which is often enough to make them leave before anything happens. This is what Uniarch calls active deterrence.
Will cats, trees or headlights set it off?
Much less often than plain motion detection. The camera sorts what it sees into people, cars and bikes, and filters out most false alarms from leaves, birds and changing light. You choose whether people, vehicles or both trigger the alarm.
Can I talk through it?
Yes. It has a microphone and a speaker with two-way audio, so you can listen in and speak to a visitor or an intruder from the app or the NVR.
Do I have to use the light and sound?
No. The light and sound only go off for the smart events you link them to. You can leave them off and use the camera for recording and alerts only.
What resolution and frame rate does it record?
8MP 4K (3840 × 2160) at up to 20 fps, or 5MP, 4MP and 1080p at 30 fps. It also sends a third, low-resolution stream for slow connections.
How is it different from the 5MP Tri-guard?
It records 8MP 4K instead of 5MP, identifies a person at 8.7 m instead of 6.3 m, and draws up to 10.5 W instead of 7.5 W. The light, speaker and detection are the same. It also comes in black as the IPC-T1P8-AF28KC-B.
Will it work with my recorder?
Uniarch and Uniview NVRs find it on their PoE ports and add it automatically. Other recorders that support ONVIF Profile S, G or T can add it too, although the smart events may only come through on Uniarch and Uniview.
Can I watch it on my phone?
Yes. View it through your Uniarch NVR in the Uniarch app, or add the camera to the app on its own. Live view in a web browser works without a plug-in in current Chrome, Firefox and Edge.
Can it record without an NVR?
Yes. Fit a microSD card of up to 256GB and it records on the camera itself. With an NVR, the card also covers network drop-outs: ANR sends the missed footage to the recorder when the link returns.
How is it powered?
By PoE (IEEE 802.3af) over the same Cat6 cable as the video, from a PoE NVR or switch. Without PoE, it runs on a 12 V DC supply. It draws 10.5 W at most.
What is Ultra 265?
Uniarch’s video compression. It keeps the same picture as H.265 in less space, so the recorder holds more days of footage. H.265, H.264 and MJPEG are there too.
What is the warranty?
Uniarch 3-year manufacturer warranty, handled in Australia through us. Contact us first and we will organise any claim.
Supported by Infront Technologies.
