4K detail at the front door,
in a white turret.
This is the Uniarch IPC-T1E8-AF28K. An 8MP (4K) turret camera in white, with a 2.8 mm lens, 30 m infrared and a built-in mic. A turret has no clear bubble over the lens, so there is no IR glare at night and less to clean.
In one sentence: the IPC-T1E8-AF28K is a white 8MP (3840 × 2160) turret camera with a 2.8 mm F1.6 lens, 112.9° view, 30 m IR, 120 dB WDR, a built-in mic and IP67 housing, powered by PoE.
One camera, one Cat6 cable.
Video and power share a single Cat6 run from a PoE recorder or switch. Mounts and a memory card are optional.
- IPC-T1E8-AF28K camera
- Fixing screws and drill template
- Quick guide
- A PoE NVR or switch (802.3af), or a 12 V DC supply
- Cat6 cable to the camera
- A microSD card up to 256GB, to record on the camera
- TR-JB03-G-IN junction box or TR-WM03-D-IN wall mount, if needed
Four times the pixels of 1080p.
At 3840 × 2160, you can zoom into a recording and still make out a face or a number plate. Uniarch rates it to identify a person at 8.4 m and recognise someone known at 16.8 m across a 112.9° view.

Design
An eyeball in a metal base.
The lens and IR sit in a ball that pans 360°, tilts 0–80° and rotates 360° in its base, so it aims easily from an eave, wall or ceiling.

Coverage
Identify at 8.4 m, detect at 84 m.
The 2.8 mm lens takes in 112.9° across. Corridor mode turns the picture to 9:16 for side passages and halls, and 120 dB WDR keeps a sunny doorway readable.
How it goes in
From the box to recording.
01
Pick the spot
High enough to be out of easy reach, close enough to see faces, with a route for one Cat6 cable. Under an eave keeps sun and rain off the lens.
02
Fix the base
Screw the base to the wall or eave, or onto a TR-JB03-G-IN junction box so the cable joint is enclosed.
03
Plug it in
Run Cat6 to a PoE port on the NVR or a PoE switch. The camera powers up from the cable.
04
Aim and add
Turn the eyeball to frame the view, then add it to the NVR or the Uniarch app.

Model codes shortened from IPC-…-AF28K. All five have a 2.8 mm F1.6 lens (112.9° across), 120 dB WDR, a built-in mic, microSD up to 256GB, IP67 and PoE (802.3af) or 12 V DC. — means not rated. Figures from the Uniarch datasheets.
Common questions
Why choose a turret?
With no clear dome over the lens, there is no IR reflection or water spotting on a bubble. The eyeball is quick to aim, and it suits white eaves and ceilings.
What resolution and frame rate does it record?
8MP 4K (3840 × 2160) at up to 20 fps. Set 5MP, 4MP or 1080p for 30 fps if smoother motion matters more than detail.
How far does it see at night?
Up to 30 m with infrared, in black and white. Smart IR stops close faces from washing out.
Is there a black version?
Yes, the IPC-T1E8-AF28K-B has the same specifications in a black housing.
Does it tell people from other movement?
Yes. Intrusion detection looks for the shape of a person, so trees and passing headlights are less likely to send an alert. Motion, tampering and audio detection are built in too.
Does it record sound?
Yes, through the built-in microphone. It has no speaker; the Tri-guard turrets add a speaker and warning light.
Will it work with my recorder?
Uniarch and Uniview NVRs find it on their PoE ports and add it automatically. Other recorders that support ONVIF Profile S, G or T can add it too, although the smart events may only come through on Uniarch and Uniview.
Can I watch it on my phone?
Yes. View it through your Uniarch NVR in the Uniarch app, or add the camera to the app on its own. Live view in a web browser works without a plug-in in current Chrome, Firefox and Edge.
Can it record without an NVR?
Yes. Fit a microSD card of up to 256GB and it records on the camera itself. With an NVR, the card also covers network drop-outs: ANR sends the missed footage to the recorder when the link returns.
How is it powered?
By PoE (IEEE 802.3af) over the same Cat6 cable as the video, from a PoE NVR or switch. Without PoE, it runs on a 12 V DC supply. It draws 4.5 W at most.
What is Ultra 265?
Uniarch’s video compression. It keeps the same picture as H.265 in less space, so the recorder holds more days of footage. H.265, H.264 and MJPEG are there too.
What is the warranty?
Uniarch 3-year manufacturer warranty, handled in Australia through us. Contact us first and we will organise any claim.
Supported by Infront Technologies.

Installation and safety
Power. PoE (IEEE 802.3af) or 12 V DC ±25%, 4.5 W maximum. Use one or the other.
Weather. IP67. Works from −30 °C to 60 °C. Seal the cable entry, or use the TR-JB03-G-IN junction box where the joint would be exposed.
