240 W of PoE, so all sixteen ports can work hard.
Each port supplies up to 30 W and the full budget is 240 W, enough for sixteen standard cameras with room to spare. The power supply is built in, with a mains power switch on the back.

Rear panel
PoE, alarms and RS485 on the back.
Sixteen PoE camera ports, a gigabit LAN port, HDMI and VGA (independent outputs), RCA audio in and out, 8 alarm inputs and 2 alarm outputs, RS485, USB 3.0 and the mains inlet with power switch. A USB 2.0 port is on the front.

Size
380 × 322 × 53 mm.
It weighs 2.6 kg or less without drives and draws 20 W or less before the drives and cameras. The optional RM-1U-380 bracket mounts it in 1U of a 19-inch rack.
How it goes in
From the box to recording.
01
Fit the hard drive
With the power off, open the lid and fit a surveillance drive in each bay you are using. Format it from the setup wizard.
02
Plug in the cameras
Run Cat6 from each camera to a PoE port on the back. Uniarch cameras are found and added automatically.
03
Connect screen and network
HDMI or VGA to the monitor, the network port to your router, then power on and follow the wizard.
04
Add it to the app
Scan the P2P QR code in the Uniarch app for live view, playback and alerts on your phone.

Common questions
Can I mirror the two drives?
Yes. RAID 1 writes the same footage to both drives, so recording carries on if one fails. Without RAID the two drives add together for longer history.
Can the PoE ports power all sixteen cameras?
Yes for typical cameras. Each port gives up to 30 W and the total budget is 240 W.
Can I connect door sensors or a siren?
Yes. It has 8 alarm inputs and 2 alarm outputs, plus RS485 for compatible devices.
Is a hard drive included?
No. The NVR-216B-P16 ships empty so you can choose the storage. Two SATA bays take drives of up to 16TB each, as separate storage or mirrored with RAID 1. We suggest surveillance-rated drives such as Seagate SkyHawk.
Will it work with cameras that are not Uniarch?
Yes, with ONVIF (Profile S, G or T) or RTSP cameras. Smart events such as line crossing and intrusion come from Uniarch and Uniview cameras; third-party cameras normally give video and basic motion only.
Can I watch the cameras on my phone?
Yes. Connect the recorder’s network port to your router and add it to the Uniarch app with the P2P QR code. Live view, playback and alerts then work on iPhone and Android.
What screen can I plug in?
Any monitor or TV with HDMI or VGA. HDMI runs up to 4K (3840 × 2160) at 30 Hz and VGA up to 1920 × 1080. The Uniarch MT-22-V and MT-24-V monitors suit it and have speakers built in.
What is Ultra 265?
Uniarch’s compression. It records the same picture as H.265 in less space, so the drive holds more days of footage. H.265 and H.264 are supported too.
What does ANR do?
If the network drops, compatible cameras keep recording to their SD card and the NVR pulls the missing footage back when the link returns.
How far can the cameras be from the recorder?
Up to 100 m of Cat6 per PoE port, which is the Ethernet limit. Beyond that, add a PoE switch or extender part way.
Can I mount it in a rack?
It is a desktop unit. The optional Uniarch RM-1U-380 bracket mounts it in 1U of a 19-inch rack — ask us if you need one.
What is the warranty?
Uniarch 3-year manufacturer warranty, handled in Australia through us. Contact us first and we will organise any claim.
Supported by Infront Technologies.
Not sure how many channels or how much storage you need? Call 1300 736 970 or email [email protected] with the number of cameras and how many days you want to keep, and we will size the drive.
Installation and safety
Power. 100–240 VAC mains with a built-in power supply. Switch off and unplug before fitting or removing drives.
Placement. Use indoors between −10 °C and 55 °C, under 90% humidity, with space around the vents. Keep it somewhere secure so a thief cannot take the footage with it.
