Keypad

Room number, PIN or directory.

The 2.8-inch display (320 × 240) shows the call, PIN and directory prompts above a numeric keypad with call and cancel keys.

The station holds 10,000 users, 500 contacts, 50,000 cards and 10,000 PINs, and reads EM, MIFARE, DESFire EV1 / EV2 / EV3 and FeliCa cards.

Security

A 130° view of the entrance.

The 2 MP camera covers 130° horizontally and 90° vertically, with IR LEDs, a light sensor and 0.1 lux minimum illumination for night use.

Akuvox pairs radar and image-based motion detection to flag movement at the door and push alerts to the SmartPlus app. Video streams at up to 1080p / 30 fps to compatible NVRs.

Install

Concealed fixing, quicker install.

The S532 uses an anti-disassembly concealed mounting design with no screw fixing at the bottom of the plate, which Akuvox says saves installation time.

Flush-mount or surface-mount with the S532 in-wall or on-wall kit, and add the matching rain cover for exposed entrances.

How it works

From bare wall to first call.

01

Fit the kit

Install the S532 on-wall or in-wall kit, plus rain cover if the entrance is exposed.

02

Wire and power

Run PoE+ (802.3at) or 12 V DC and connect the lock to one of the two relays; use the inputs for exit buttons and door sensors.

03

Register and enrol

Register to Akuvox indoor monitors, SmartPlus or your SIP PBX, then add users, cards and PINs in the web portal.

04

Test the door

Make a test call, check the picture day and night and confirm the relay releases the lock.

Works with

Platforms and integrations

SIP PBX and softphones

Standard SIP v1 / v2 lets the S532 call Akuvox monitors, IP phones or extensions on your own PBX.

NVRs over ONVIF / RTSP

Record the 1080p entrance picture on an ONVIF or RTSP-capable NVR alongside your CCTV cameras.

Akuvox SmartPlus

Residents answer calls and open the door from the SmartPlus app, including Bluetooth entry from their phone.

Analogue handsets

The analogue audio line out feeds an analogue switch so existing analogue handsets in the building can take calls.

Wiegand and RS485 access control

The selectable Wiegand port and RS485 connect third-party access controllers, readers and Akuvox relay modules.

Answers

Common questions

Does the S532 have facial recognition?

No. It is a keypad station with card, PIN, Bluetooth and NFC entry. For face entry, look at the S535.

Is a mounting kit included?

No. Use the S532 on-wall or in-wall installation kit, sold separately. Matching rain covers are available for both.

What power does it need?

IEEE 802.3at PoE+ from a switch or injector, or a 12 V DC 2 A adapter. On 12 V DC, Akuvox allows cable runs up to 30 m on 20 AWG or 20 m on 22 AWG.

How many residents can it handle?

Up to 10,000 users, 50,000 cards and 10,000 PINs, with 500 contacts in the on-screen directory. Access tables can be exported and imported in the web portal.

Can residents open the door from their phone?

Yes. BLE 5.0 lets SmartPlus app users unlock from their phone, and Android phones can also unlock over NFC.

Can it work with existing analogue handsets?

Yes. The analogue audio output connects to an analogue switch so older analogue handsets can answer calls — useful when upgrading a building in stages. One of the videos on this page shows the setup.

Will it record to my NVR?

Yes. The S532 supports ONVIF and RTSP, so most ONVIF-capable NVRs can add it as a camera channel.

How high should it be mounted?

Akuvox’s placement drawings put the camera centre 1,500 mm above the ground, with the bottom of the panel about 1,245 mm up.

A tough keypad station for busy entrances.

Choose the S532 for apartment blocks, offices and gated sites that want a physical keypad and a large user list.

Installation & safety notice

Low-voltage product (SELV). Power from IEEE 802.3at PoE+ or a 12 V DC, 2 A adapter.
