The AK-E20S is Akuvox’s E20S push-button emergency station. Press once and it calls a guard room, reception or a SIP phone hands-free — no handset, no screen, nothing to break.
This SKU is the intercom station only.
You receive the E20S station. The in-wall box, PoE switch and the answering endpoint (indoor monitor, SIP phone or PBX) are sold separately.

Call
One button. Hands-free.
A single call button on the stainless front dials a pre-set SIP number. Built-in speaker and microphone with echo cancellation keep the conversation hands-free.
One SIP account, G.711a / μ and G.722 codecs, QoS and auto-answer — so a guard can also call the station back and talk straight away.
Tough
316 stainless, IK10.
The 316-grade stainless steel front is rated IK10, the top impact level, for public corridors and lifts where equipment gets knocked.
At 100 × 100 × 37.7 mm the panel sits flush over a standard single wall box. The E20S is rated for indoor use.
Install
A standard wall box and one cable.
E20S fits 86-type and 1299 single in-wall boxes. One Cat5e/Cat6 run with 802.3af PoE carries power and network.
Set DHCP or a static IP, register the SIP account, and the station is ready. NTP keeps its clock right.

Common questions
Can it be used outdoors?
No. Akuvox rates the E20S for indoor use only. For outdoor help points use the E21A (audio) or E21V (with camera), which are IP65.
How is it powered?
IEEE 802.3af PoE only — there is no DC input, so plan a PoE switch port or injector.
What wall box does it fit?
1299 and 86-type single in-wall boxes, or the E20 in-wall 86 back box. The 100 × 100 mm faceplate covers the box.
Does it have a camera or door relay?
No. E20S is an audio-only push-button station with no relay. For a camera and relays, look at the E21V.
Can security call it back?
Yes. Auto answer lets a guard or reception call the station and talk straight away, without anyone pressing the button.
How high should it be mounted?
Akuvox's placement drawing puts the centre of the button no higher than 1,200 mm above the floor, so it is reachable from a wheelchair.
What can it call?
Any SIP endpoint: Akuvox indoor monitors, SIP desk phones or extensions on a SIP PBX.
A compact help point.
Choose E20S for indoor help points on a standard wall box. For outdoor or camera-equipped help points, look at the E21A and E21V.
Installation & safety notice
Low-voltage product (SELV). Power from IEEE 802.3af PoE only. Treat as SELV low-voltage equipment.
When a licensed tradesperson is required. Concealed data and intercom cabling is customer cabling under AS/CA S009 and must be installed by an ACMA-registered cabler. Electric locks, maglocks and lock power supplies may require a licensed electrician or security installer.
