12MP for big rooms,
so the edges stay sharp.

This is the Uniview IPC86CEB-AF18KC-I0. A 12MP fisheye with a 1/1.7" sensor and a 1.8 mm lens. The extra pixels matter in large spaces, where dewarped views near the edge of a fisheye picture need detail to work with.

In one sentence: the IPC86CEB-AF18KC-I0 is a 12MP (4000 × 3000) fisheye with a 1/1.7" sensor, 1.8 mm F2.0 lens, 360° panoramic view, 15 m IR, line crossing and intrusion, heat maps, dual mics and a speaker, alarm and RS485 connections, IP67 and IK10, powered by PoE.

One camera, one Cat6 cable.

Video and power share a single Cat6 run from a PoE recorder or switch. A junction box or wall mount is only needed if the site calls for it.

In the box
  • IPC86CEB-AF18KC-I0 camera
  • Mounting screws and accessories
  • Quick guide
You also need
  • A PoE NVR or switch (802.3af), or a 12 V DC supply
  • Cat6 cable to the camera
  • A microSD card up to 512GB, to record on the camera
  • TR-JB04-D-IN junction box or a TR-CM24-IN / TR-SE24-A-IN mount, if needed

One camera across a big floor.

Fisheyes lose detail towards the edge of the circle. Starting from 4000 × 3000 on a large 1/1.7" sensor gives the dewarped views more to work with across warehouses, halls and large shop floors.

Dimensions

Ø149 × 55 mm, 0.52 kg.

IP67 and IK10, working from −30 °C to 60 °C.

How it goes in

From the box to recording.

01

Pick the spot

The centre of the ceiling of the space, up to 4–5 m in large rooms, so the camera can see every wall.

02

Fix the camera

Screw it to the ceiling, or onto a TR-JB04-D-IN junction box where there is no cavity to hide the cable.

03

Plug it in

Run Cat6 to a PoE port on the NVR or a PoE switch. The camera powers up from the cable.

04

Aim and add

Choose the panorama and PTZ views, add it to the NVR or the EZView app, then draw lines and zones for alarms.

Pair it with

What goes with it

Recorder

Uniview PoE NVR

Uniview recorders add the camera over one Cat6 cable, bring in its smart events and keep weeks of footage on their hard drives.

Mounting

TR-JB04-D-IN junction box

Listed by Uniview for this fisheye. Encloses the cable joint where there is no ceiling cavity.

Ceilings

TR-CM24-IN / TR-SE24-A-IN mounts

Listed by Uniview for this fisheye, for ceiling and pendant installs.

Cabling

Cat6 cable

Solid copper Cat6 for PoE runs up to 100 m from the switch or recorder.

Where it is used

Where it fits

Warehouses

A whole pick floor from one ceiling point.

Halls and gyms

Large rooms where detail at the edge matters.

Large shop floors

Heat maps show which aisles are busy.

Atriums and lobbies

Every entry and lift door together.

Common questions

Why 12MP?

A fisheye spreads its pixels over the whole room. Starting at 4000 × 3000 leaves more detail in each dewarped view, which helps in large spaces.

What can it connect to?

Besides PoE, it has 2 alarm inputs, 1 alarm output, audio in and out, RS485 and a BNC video output for setting up on site.

Can I talk through it?

Yes. Dual microphones and a speaker give two-way audio from the app or the NVR.

How far does it see at night?

Up to 15 m with IR.

Why does the picture look round?

A fisheye lens records the whole area as a circle. Dewarping turns that circle into normal-looking views: a single panorama, a double panorama, or several virtual cameras you can zoom into. You can do this live and on recorded footage.

Where should a fisheye go?

In the middle of the ceiling, looking straight down. From there it sees every wall of the room. It also mounts on a wall, where it gives a 180° view across the room.

Will it work with my recorder?

Uniview NVRs find it on their PoE ports and add it automatically, along with its smart events. Other recorders that support ONVIF (Profile S, G, T, M) can add it too, although smart events and the special views may only come through fully on Uniview.

Can I watch it on my phone?

Yes. Watch it through your Uniview NVR in the Uniview EZView app, or add the camera to the app on its own. Live view also works in a web browser.

Can it record without an NVR?

Yes. Fit a microSD card of up to 512GB and it records on the camera itself. With an NVR, the card also covers network drop-outs: ANR sends the missed footage to the recorder when the link returns.

How is it powered?

By PoE (IEEE 802.3af) over the same Cat6 cable as the video, from a PoE NVR or switch. Without PoE, it runs on a 12 V DC supply. It draws 12.0 W at most.

What is Ultra 265?

Uniview’s video compression. It keeps the same picture as H.265 in less space, so the recorder holds more days of footage. H.265, H.264 and MJPEG are there too.

What is the warranty?

Uniview 3-year manufacturer warranty, handled in Australia through InFront. Contact us first and we will organise any claim.

Supported by Infront Technologies.

Installation and safety

Power. Use a PoE (802.3af) port or a regulated 12 V DC supply. The alarm input and output are for dry contacts only.

Weather. IP67 and IK10, rated from −30 °C to 60 °C.
