The whole room,
from the middle of the ceiling.

This is the Uniview IPC815SB-ADF14K-I0. A slim 5MP fisheye with a 1.4 mm lens that takes in the whole room from one point on the ceiling. Dewarping turns the round picture into normal views, live or on playback.

In one sentence: the IPC815SB-ADF14K-I0 is a 5MP (2592 × 1944) fisheye with a 1.4 mm F2.0 lens, 180° view, 10 m IR, dual mics, IP66 and IK10, powered by PoE.

One camera, one Cat6 cable.

Video and power share a single Cat6 run from a PoE recorder or switch. A junction box or wall mount is only needed if the site calls for it.

In the box
  • IPC815SB-ADF14K-I0 camera
  • Mounting screws and accessories
  • Quick guide
You also need
  • A PoE NVR or switch (802.3af), or a 12 V DC supply
  • Cat6 cable to the camera
  • A microSD card up to 512GB, to record on the camera
  • TR-JB03-H-IN junction box or a TR-CM24-IN / TR-SE24-A-IN mount, if needed

One camera instead of four in the corners.

Looking straight down from the centre of a shop, office or classroom, a fisheye sees every wall. The camera hands the round image to the software, which offers ceiling, table and wall views, including panoramas and zoomable virtual cameras.

Design

A flat disc on the ceiling.

At Ø125 × 43.7 mm it sits almost flush and draws little attention.

Coverage

180° from a 1.4 mm lens.

Uniview rates it to identify a person at 3.2 m and recognise someone known at 6.3 m, with detection out to 31.5 m.

IP66 and IK10, working from −30 °C to 60 °C.

How it goes in

From the box to recording.

01

Pick the spot

The centre of the ceiling, 2.5–4 m up, so the camera can see every wall. Keep it clear of light fittings that would shine into the lens.

02

Fix the camera

Screw it to the ceiling, or onto a TR-JB03-H-IN junction box where there is no cavity to hide the cable.

03

Plug it in

Run Cat6 to a PoE port on the NVR or a PoE switch. The camera powers up from the cable.

04

Aim and add

Set the mount type to ceiling, table or wall so the software dewarps correctly, then add it to the NVR or the EZView app.

Pair it with

What goes with it

Recorder

Uniview PoE NVR

Uniview recorders add the camera over one Cat6 cable, bring in its smart events and keep weeks of footage on their hard drives.

Mounting

TR-JB03-H-IN junction box

Listed by Uniview for this fisheye. Encloses the cable joint where there is no ceiling cavity.

Ceilings

TR-CM24-IN / TR-SE24-A-IN mounts

Listed by Uniview for this fisheye, for ceiling and pendant installs.

Cabling

Cat6 cable

Solid copper Cat6 for PoE runs up to 100 m from the switch or recorder.

Where it is used

Where a fisheye fits

Shops

The whole floor and both doors from one camera.

Offices

Open-plan floors and reception areas.

Classrooms and halls

Every wall of the room.

Lobbies

Lift doors, entry and mailboxes together.

Common questions

Does it have smart detection?

It has motion, tampering and audio detection, and heat maps when used with a Uniview management platform. For line crossing and intrusion with people filtering, look at the IPC816SB.

Does it have a speaker?

No. It has dual microphones, and its audio output can drive an external speaker for two-way audio.

How far does it see at night?

Up to 10 m with IR, which covers most rooms from the ceiling.

Is it vandal resistant?

Yes. It is rated IK10 for impact and IP66 for weather, so it suits covered outdoor areas too.

Why does the picture look round?

A fisheye lens records the whole area as a circle. Dewarping turns that circle into normal-looking views: a single panorama, a double panorama, or several virtual cameras you can zoom into. You can do this live and on recorded footage.

Where should a fisheye go?

In the middle of the ceiling, looking straight down. From there it sees every wall of the room. It also mounts on a wall, where it gives a 180° view across the room.

Will it work with my recorder?

Uniview NVRs find it on their PoE ports and add it automatically, along with its smart events. Other recorders that support ONVIF (Profile S, G, T, M) can add it too, although smart events and the special views may only come through fully on Uniview.

Can I watch it on my phone?

Yes. Watch it through your Uniview NVR in the Uniview EZView app, or add the camera to the app on its own. Live view also works in a web browser.

Can it record without an NVR?

Yes. Fit a microSD card of up to 512GB and it records on the camera itself. With an NVR, the card also covers network drop-outs: ANR sends the missed footage to the recorder when the link returns.

How is it powered?

By PoE (IEEE 802.3af) over the same Cat6 cable as the video, from a PoE NVR or switch. Without PoE, it runs on a 12 V DC supply. It draws 8.5 W at most.

What is Ultra 265?

Uniview’s video compression. It keeps the same picture as H.265 in less space, so the recorder holds more days of footage. H.265, H.264 and MJPEG are there too.

What is the warranty?

Uniview 3-year manufacturer warranty, handled in Australia through InFront. Contact us first and we will organise any claim.

Supported by Infront Technologies.

Installation and safety

Power. Use a PoE (802.3af) port or a regulated 12 V DC supply. Keep cable joints dry inside a junction box or sealed with tape.

Weather. IP66 and IK10, rated from −30 °C to 60 °C. Best under cover outdoors.
