The AK-E21V is Akuvox’s E21V: the E21 vandal-resistant emergency intercom with a 2 MP camera. One press calls security hands-free, and the guard sees who is asking for help.

This SKU is the intercom station only.

You receive the E21V station. The E21 in-wall box or on-wall rain cover, PoE switch and the answering endpoint are sold separately.

See who is calling for help.

A 2 MP 1/2.8″ camera covers 116° × 60° and streams H.264 up to 1920 × 1080 at 30 fps. IR LEDs and a light sensor keep the picture usable at night, down to 0.1 lux.

ONVIF and RTSP let you record the help point on your NVR. A motion sensor is built in.

Audio

Clear speech in noisy places.

Hands-free speaker and microphone with echo cancellation, voice activity detection and G.722 wideband audio carry a clear conversation in car parks and stations.

A line-out port is provided for external audio equipment, and calls go over SIP to any guard station, indoor monitor or PBX.

Install

Flush in its box, or on the wall.

210 × 120 × 45.6 mm, IP65 and IK10, −20 °C to +55 °C. Flush-mount with the E21 in-wall box, or surface-mount with the E21 on-wall rain cover.

Two relays (DTMF controlled) and two inputs open a gate or boom and take a door sensor. Power from 802.3af PoE or 12–24 V DC.

Mount

Set the E21 in-wall box for a flush finish, or fix the on-wall rain cover for surface mounting.

Power

Run Cat5e/Cat6 with 802.3af PoE to the RJ45, or land 12–24 V DC.

SIP

Register the station and set the number the call button dials.

Test

Press the button, check audio and video, and confirm any relay opens the gate or boom.

Standard SIP v1 / v2 lets the E21V ring a guard-room phone, ring group or Akuvox indoor monitor on your own PBX.

Record the help-point camera on an ONVIF or RTSP-capable NVR alongside your CCTV.

Gates, booms and doors

The guard opens a gate, boom or door during the call by sending DTMF tones that trigger either relay.

External audio (line out)

The line-out port passes call audio to an external amplifier or recording device.

Common questions

What is the difference between E21V and E21A?

Same 316 stainless IP65 / IK10 body, button, audio and relays. E21V adds a 2 MP camera (116° × 60°, 1080p) with IR night lighting and a motion sensor; E21A is audio-only.

Can it be used outdoors?

Yes. The front is IP65 and IK10, rated −20 °C to +55 °C. In exposed spots the E21 on-wall rain cover adds a hood.

How is it powered?

IEEE 802.3af PoE, or a 12–24 V DC supply.

How is it mounted?

The E21 is flush-mount: use the E21 in-wall box (190 × 100 × 60 mm cut-out), or surface-mount it with the E21 on-wall rain cover. Both are sold separately.

Can the guard open a gate?

Yes. The two relays are triggered individually by DTMF tones from the answering phone during the call.

How high should it be mounted?

Akuvox's placement drawing puts the button centre no higher than 1,200 mm above ground, with the bottom of the panel at about 1,130 mm.

Will it record to my NVR?

Yes. The E21V supports ONVIF and RTSP, so a compatible NVR can record the 1080p help-point camera.

Is the answering station included?

No. Calls go to any SIP endpoint — a guard-room phone, softphone, PBX extension or Akuvox indoor monitor — sold separately.

Choose E21V when the guard needs to see the caller — or E21A when audio is enough.

Installation & safety notice

Low-voltage product (SELV). Power from IEEE 802.3af PoE or a 12–24 V DC supply. Treat as SELV low-voltage equipment.

When a licensed tradesperson is required. Concealed data and intercom cabling is customer cabling under AS/CA S009 and must be installed by an ACMA-registered cabler. Electric locks, maglocks and lock power supplies may require a licensed electrician or security installer.
