The AK-S535-LTE-KIT bundles Akuvox’s S535 5-inch facial recognition door phone with the S535 LTE expansion unit. Akuvox designed the LTE module for renovating older intercom systems — the station reaches the cloud and residents’ phones over the mobile network instead of a new network run.

This kit is the S535 door station plus the LTE module.

You receive the S535 main unit with its wiring accessories and the LTE expansion module with its fixing screws. A data SIM and the mounting box are not included — use the S535 box made for an expansion module.

LTE

A mobile connection under the screen.

The LTE module covers LTE-FDD B1/B2/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B12/B13/B18/B19/B20/B25/B26/B28, LTE-TDD B38–B41 and WCDMA — including the 700 MHz B28 and 1800 MHz B3 bands used in Australia.

It plugs into the expansion port with no extra wiring and takes the plate to 260 mm tall. Mount it in the S535 box made for modules.

IP66, IK08 and −40 °C rated.

Aluminium front panel, IP66 against water and dust and IK08 for impact, rated −40 °C to +55 °C.

A 5-inch 720 × 1280 touchscreen with a 2 MP main camera and a 2 MP face-liveness camera. Face matching takes under 200 ms at 99.7% accuracy.

Mobile access

Phones, cards and QR codes too.

BLE 5.0 supports hands-free entry, tap-to-go and shake-to-open with the Akuvox SmartPlus app, plus NFC and the Akuvox Bkey fob.

The 13.56 MHz and 125 kHz reader takes EM, MIFARE, DESFire EV2 / EV3 and FeliCa cards. Up to 20,000 faces, 100,000 cards and 100,000 PINs.

Fit the box

Install the S535 on-wall or in-wall box for use with a module — it is taller than the standard box.

Attach the module

Remove the expansion port cover, plug in the LTE module and secure it with the shoulder screws.

Power and connect

Connect 12 V DC or PoE+, insert the data SIM and set up LTE in the web portal.

Enrol and test

Enrol faces and cards, place a test call to the SmartPlus app and confirm the relay releases the door.

Common questions

Is this only the LTE module?

No. This kit includes the S535 door station and the LTE module. The module on its own is AK-S535-LTE.

Will it work on Australian networks?

The module supports LTE bands 1, 3, 5, 7 and 28 among others, which cover the main Australian 4G bands. Check coverage at the entrance and use a data SIM from your chosen carrier.

Is a SIM card included?

No. Supply a data SIM and insert it into the LTE module before the module is fitted to the station.

Which mounting box do I need?

The S535 on-wall or in-wall box made for modules. The standard S535 box is too short for the 260 mm assembled height; flush installs need a 255.5 × 94 × 34 mm opening.

What power does it need?

IEEE 802.3at PoE+ or a 12 V DC 3 A supply; allow 4 A if the 12 V / 500 mA output also powers a lock or reader. On an LTE-only site a local 12 V DC supply is the usual choice.

Can residents still use the app?

Yes. Over LTE the station reaches Akuvox SmartPlus, so residents answer video calls and unlock from their phones.

Is an indoor monitor included?

No. Pair it with the SmartPlus app, a compatible Akuvox indoor monitor or any SIP endpoint.

Choose the LTE kit for retrofits, gates and sites where a network cable to the entrance is not practical.

Installation & safety notice

Low-voltage product (SELV). Power from IEEE 802.3at PoE+ or a 12 V DC, 3 A supply (4 A with the 12 V output in use). Power the station off before fitting or removing the module.

When a licensed tradesperson is required. Concealed data and intercom cabling is customer cabling under AS/CA S009 and must be installed by an ACMA-registered cabler. Electric locks, maglocks and lock power supplies may require a licensed electrician or security installer.
