The AK-E18ONWALLH is the E18C rain cover from Akuvox, for door phones mounted on the wall surface. The E18C is IP65; the hood keeps water off the 7″ glass and cuts the glare that makes face recognition and video harder outdoors.

This SKU is the rain hood only.

Water on the glass blurs the picture and overhead sun washes out faces. The hood keeps both off the front of the E18C so visitors are seen clearly and recognised quickly.

The hood wraps the top and both sides of the E18C and leaves the front open for the screen, cameras and card reader.

It is black to match the E18C and is made for surface-mounted installs.

The E18C measures 275 × 120 × 34.6 mm and surface-mounts on the bracket supplied with it. The hood suits the standard E18C and the E18C with the internal LTE module.

It is not for flush installs — a recessed E18C uses the E18 in-wall kit.

Can I use it on a flush-mounted E18C?

No. This is the on-wall hood. Flush installs use the E18 in-wall kit.

The E18C is IP65. Why add a hood?

IP65 protects the electronics. The hood keeps rain off the screen and cameras and shades them from overhead sun, so video and face recognition work better.
