Thirty-two cameras,
sixteen powered from the back.
This is the Uniview NVR504-32B-P16-IQ. A 32-channel recorder with sixteen built-in PoE ports and four drive bays. Plug sixteen cameras straight in, add up to sixteen more through a PoE switch, and protect the footage with RAID 5.
In one sentence: the NVR504-32B-P16-IQ is a 32-channel Uniview NVR with 16 PoE ports (150 W in total), four SATA bays up to 24TB each with RAID 1 and 5, Gigabit networking and 4K HDMI output.
Order it without a drive, or with a 2, 4, 6 or 8TB drive fitted.
The NVR504-32B-P16-IQ comes without cameras or a screen, and without a hard drive unless you choose one above. Add the cameras and a screen. Sixteen cameras run straight from its PoE ports; channels 17 to 32 connect through a PoE switch on the network.

Room to grow to 32 cameras.
Sixteen PoE ports supply up to 30 W each with 150 W shared across them; the other sixteen channels take cameras over the network. Four bays of up to 24TB each, with RAID 5, keep long histories safe from a single drive failure.

Front panel
A 1.5U case with four drive bays inside.
Status lights and a USB 2.0 port are on the front. Sixteen PoE ports, the Gigabit LAN, HDMI, VGA, RCA audio, USB 3.0, RS485 and alarm terminals (16 in, 4 out) are at the back.

Size
400 × 368 × 74 mm.
It weighs 4 kg or less without drives and draws 12 W or less before drives and cameras. The optional Uniview RM-1.5U-400 bracket fits it in a 19-inch rack.
How it goes in
From the box to recording.
01
Fit the hard drive
If you did not order one fitted: with the power off, open the lid and fit a surveillance drive in each bay you are using, then format it from the setup wizard.
02
Plug in the cameras
Run Cat6 from each camera to a PoE port on the back. The port powers the camera, and Uniview cameras are found automatically.
03
Connect screen and network
HDMI or VGA to the monitor, the network port to your router, then power on and follow the wizard.
04
Add it to the app
Scan the P2P QR code in the UNV-Link app for live view, playback and alerts on your phone.

Common questions
It has 16 PoE ports — how do I connect 32 cameras?
Plug sixteen cameras into the PoE ports on the back. Connect the rest to a PoE switch on the same network as the recorder’s LAN port; it adds them as channels 17 to 32.
What RAID does it support?
RAID 1 (mirroring two drives) and RAID 5 (three or more drives, survives one drive failure while keeping most of the space).
Can I use two screens?
Yes. HDMI (up to 4K) and VGA are independent outputs, so a monitor at reception and one in the office can show different views.
Is a hard drive included?
Not as standard. The NVR504-32B-P16-IQ is sold without a drive, or with a 2, 4, 6 or 8TB surveillance drive fitted — choose the option above. It has four SATA bays of up to 24TB each. A fitted drive fills one bay; add more at any time for more space or RAID.
Will it work with cameras that are not Uniview?
Uniview lists standard cameras of other brands for the recorder’s own motion and face detection on a limited number of channels, so most third-party IP cameras can be added. Fast searches such as AcuSearch need Uniview cameras. Send us the camera model and we will check it.
Can I watch the cameras on my phone?
Yes. P2P is built in: connect the network port to your router and add the recorder to Uniview’s UNV-Link app by scanning its QR code. Live view, playback and alerts then work on iPhone and Android, and up to 128 remote users can connect.
What screen can I plug in?
Any monitor or TV with HDMI or VGA. HDMI runs up to 4K (3840 × 2160), and HDMI and VGA are independent, so two screens can show different views.
What is Ultra 265?
Uniview’s compression. It records the same picture as H.265 in less space, so the drive holds more days of footage. H.265 and H.264 are supported too.
What does ANR do?
If the network drops, compatible Uniview cameras keep recording to their SD card and the NVR pulls the missing footage back when the link returns.
How far can the cameras be from the recorder?
Up to 100 m of Cat6 per PoE port, which is the Ethernet limit. Beyond that, add a PoE switch or extender part way.
Can I mount it in a rack?
Yes, with the optional Uniview RM-1.5U-400 bracket in a 19-inch rack. Otherwise it sits on a shelf.
What is the warranty?
Uniview 3-year manufacturer warranty, handled in Australia through InFront. Contact us first and we will organise any claim.
Supported by Infront Technologies.

Installation and safety
Power. Runs from 100–240 V AC. Power off before fitting or removing hard drives.
Placement. Use indoors between −10 °C and 50 °C, under 90% humidity, with space around the vents. Keep it somewhere secure so a thief cannot take the footage with it.
