Smart analytics
for the cameras you already have.
This is the Uniview NVR804-64-IX-G. A 64-channel SeekFree recorder that runs more than 20 types of analytics itself — helmet, smoking, fire, fall and fight detection among them — on up to 16 normal cameras, and finds footage from a plain-language description.
In one sentence: the NVR804-64-IX-G is a 64-channel Uniview SeekFree NVR with recording up to 4K, 384 Mbps incoming bandwidth, analytics by NVR, four SATA bays up to 24TB each, two Gigabit ports and three HDMI outputs.
Order it without a drive, or with a 2, 4, 6 or 8TB drive fitted.
The NVR804-64-IX-G comes without cameras or a screen, and without a hard drive unless you choose one above. Add PoE switches for the cameras and your screens. The recorder has no PoE ports and runs from mains power.
- NVR804-64-IX-G recorder
- Mains power cord
- Quick guide
- A hard drive, if you did not choose one fitted (up to 3 more are optional)
- Up to 64 IP cameras
- PoE switches for the cameras
- Monitors with HDMI or VGA
- Your router, for the app
Upgrade old cameras without replacing them.
Analytics run on the recorder, not the camera, so up to 16 existing normal or third-party cameras gain detections such as helmet, smoking, fire, falls and fights. With Uniview SIP or UMD cameras, SeekFree text search covers every channel.

Front panel
A 2U rack case.
Two USB 2.0 ports are on the front. The back carries two Gigabit LAN, three HDMI and one VGA, two USB 3.0, eSATA, RS485, RS232, alarm terminals (16 in, 10 out), a 12 V output and RCA audio (1 in, 3 out).

Size
442 × 432 × 89 mm.
A 2U, 19-inch case drawing 50 W or less before drives. It mounts with Uniview FL-2U rack ears.
How it goes in
From the box to recording.
01
Fit the hard drives
If you did not order one fitted: with the power off, fit surveillance drives in the bays you are using, then format them from the setup wizard.
02
Connect the cameras
Plug the cameras into PoE switches on the same network as the recorder. It searches the network and adds Uniview cameras automatically.
03
Connect screens and network
HDMI or VGA to the monitors, a network port to your switch or router, then power on and follow the wizard.
04
Add it to the app
Scan the P2P QR code in the UNV-Link app, or add the recorder to Uniview’s EZStation software on a PC.

Common questions
Which analytics does the recorder run itself?
More than 20 types, including helmet, smoking, fire, fall and fight detection, on up to 16 normal cameras (Uniview or third-party). Uniview smart cameras send their own events on every channel.
What is SeekFree?
Uniview’s plain-language search: type a description of a person or vehicle and the recorder finds matching clips. It covers all channels with Uniview SIP/UMD smart cameras and up to 16 channels of normal or third-party cameras.
How many cameras can use face detection?
Face detection by the NVR works with up to 32 Uniview face detection cameras on the NVR804-64-IX-G.
Is a hard drive included?
Not as standard. The NVR804-64-IX-G is sold without a drive, or with a 2, 4, 6 or 8TB surveillance drive fitted — choose the option above. It has four SATA bays of up to 24TB each. A fitted drive fills one bay; add more at any time. Uniview lists disk groups and redundant storage for this model rather than RAID.
Will it work with cameras that are not Uniview?
Yes. It supports ONVIF Profile S cameras, and its analytics and SeekFree search run on up to 16 channels of normal or third-party cameras. Send us the camera model and we will check it.
Can I watch the cameras on my phone?
Yes. P2P is built in: connect the network port to your router and add the recorder to Uniview’s UNV-Link app by scanning its QR code. Live view, playback and alerts then work on iPhone and Android, and up to 128 remote users can connect.
What screen can I plug in?
Monitors with HDMI or VGA. It has three HDMI outputs up to 4K at 60 Hz and one VGA; HDMI2 and HDMI3 show independent layouts, so up to three screens can show different views.
What is Ultra 265?
Uniview’s compression. It records the same picture as H.265 in less space, so the drive holds more days of footage. H.265 and H.264 are supported too.
What does ANR do?
If the network drops, compatible Uniview cameras keep recording to their SD card and the NVR pulls the missing footage back when the link returns.
How far can the cameras be from the recorder?
It has no PoE ports, so the cameras plug into a PoE switch and the switch connects to the recorder. Each Cat6 run from the switch can be up to 100 m, and switches can be placed around the site.
Can I mount it in a rack?
Yes. It is a 2U, 19-inch case that mounts with Uniview FL-2U rack ears — ask us if you need a set.
What is the warranty?
Uniview 3-year manufacturer warranty, handled in Australia through InFront. Contact us first and we will organise any claim.
Supported by Infront Technologies.
Not sure how many channels or how much storage you need? Call 1300 736 970 or email [email protected] with the number of cameras and how many days you want to keep, and we will size the drives.
Installation and safety
Power. Runs from 100–240 V AC. Power off before fitting or removing hard drives, and earth the case.
Placement. Use indoors between −10 °C and 55 °C, under 90% humidity, with space around the vents. Keep it somewhere secure so a thief cannot take the footage with it.
