The AK-R20KINWALLK-B is the Akuvox flush-mounting kit for the 185 × 84.5 mm R20 family. The box goes into a 207 × 89 × 40 mm recess and the door phone locks into it with Torx screws, leaving a slim black border at the wall face.

Mounting hardware only.

Everything to flush-mount one R20K, R25K or R20B. The door phone and in-wall rain hood are sold separately.

A recessed station sits close to the wall face, hides its cabling and is held by Torx screws rather than hanging on a surface bracket.

What you get

Box, frame and Torx fixings.

The steel flush-mounting box takes the cables and the body of the door phone; the black 226 × 108 mm decorative frame finishes the opening at the wall face.

Two M4×15 Torx screws lock the station in, so it cannot be removed without the Torx wrench.

One kit, the whole family

Same recess for R20K, R20K-L, R25K and R20B.

All of them use the 185 × 84.5 × 24 mm housing, so the kit and the 207 × 89 × 40 mm recess are the same whichever model you fit.

Add the in-wall rain hood on exposed entries.

How it works

From bare wall to flush door phone.

Cut the recess

Cut a 207 × 89 × 40 mm (H × W × D) hole with all cables inside it.

Fix the box

Mark and drill four 6 mm holes, 25 mm deep, then fix the flush-mounting box with four ST4×20 screws and anchors. Fill gaps with cement or non-corrosive adhesive.

03

Fit the station

Wire the door phone, place it into the box and lock it with the two M4×15 Torx screws.

Common questions

Which door phones does it fit?

Akuvox R20K, R20K-L, R25K and R20B with 2, 3, 4 or 5 buttons. It is too tall for the R20A / R25A, which have their own kit.

What size hole do I need?

A 207 × 89 × 40 mm (H × W × D) recess that can take all the cables. The finished frame covers 226 × 108 mm of wall.

What is in the box?

The steel flush-mounting box, the black decorative frame, two M4×15 Torx screws, four ST4×20 screws with plastic anchors and a Torx wrench.

Can I add a rain hood?

Yes. The R20K / R25K / R20B in-wall rain hood fits over a station recessed with this kit.

What is different about the silver kit?

The colour of the frame (AK-R20KR20BINWALLK). Choose the one that matches your door phone.

Match the frame to the station.

Choose black to suit your door phone; the silver kit is AK-R20KR20BINWALLK. For R20A / R25A use the R20A in-wall kit instead.

Installation & safety notice

Akuvox’s guide also allows a simpler install with the box set in cement or adhesive and no wall screws, with lower vandal resistance.
