The AK-E16-INWALL is Akuvox’s flush-mounting kit for the E16 and A05 series. The E16C and A05C ship ready to surface-mount; this kit recesses them into the wall for a flatter, tidier entry.

This SKU is the in-wall installation kit.

You receive the flush box, bracket, board and fixings listed below. The E16C or A05C itself is sold separately and comes with its own wiring cover, sealing plate, rubber plugs and screws.

Surface-mounted, the E16C stands proud of the wall. Flush-mounted, it sits close to the wall surface — a cleaner look on a feature wall or new-build entry.

In the kit

Box, bracket and board.

The flush box goes into the wall with knock-out cable entries. The flush bracket screws to the back of the E16C or A05C, and the flush board frames the device and fixes it to the box.

Seven M3×8 screws, four ST4×20 screws with anchors, two M4×16 Torx screws and a Torx wrench are included.

For E16C and A05C.

Akuvox uses one flush-mounting guide for the E16 and A05 series, so the same kit suits the E16C facial recognition door phone and the A05C access terminal.

The E16C itself measures 192 × 88 × 23.8 mm; the box is 223 × 109 × 40 mm and needs a 225 × 111 × 43 mm opening, and the 230 × 120 mm trim panel covers the cut edge.

Which devices does it fit?

The Akuvox E16C door phone and the A05C access terminal. Akuvox covers both in one flush-mounting guide.

How big a hole do I need?

225 mm high, 111 mm wide and 43 mm deep. The box itself is 223 × 109 × 40 mm.

How much does it stand off the wall?

Only the 3 mm trim panel and the device face sit proud; the 230 × 120 mm panel covers the edge of the cut-out.

What fixings are included?

Seven M3×8 screws, four ST4×20 screws with plastic anchors, two M4×16 Torx screws and a Torx wrench.

Can I use the on-wall rain hood with this kit?

No. The on-wall rain hood is for surface-mounted installs. This kit is for flush mounting.

Is the door phone included?

No. The kit contains the box, bracket, board and fixings only.

Installation & safety notice

Fitting. Cut a 225 × 111 × 43 mm (H × W × D) hole at the cable position. Keep the box’s edges flush with the wall and leave a gap at the bottom of the box for drainage, then fix it with four ST4×20 screws. The flush bracket and flush board are screwed to the device with the M3×8 screws, and the assembly is fixed to the box with two M4×16 Torx screws — see the Akuvox E16/A05 flush-mounting quick guide.
