Answers

Common questions

What does it hold?

An R20K or R20B door phone and one MD06 or MD12 module, side by side in one flush panel.

How big a hole do I need?

209 × 188 × 40 mm (height × width × depth).

Can I fit two modules?

No — the two-unit box takes the door phone and one module, either an MD06 or an MD12. For two modules use the three-unit box.

What is in the box?

Flush-mounting box × 1, flush-mounting bracket × 1, plastic wall anchors × 4, ST4×20 crosshead screws × 4, M4×15 Torx screws × 4, M3×5.3 mounting screws × 8, ropes × 2, Torx wrench × 1.

How high should it be mounted?

Akuvox’s placement drawing puts the door phone camera centre 1500 mm above the ground, with the bottom of the flush box about 1315 mm up.

Are the door phone and modules included?

No. This SKU is the box, front frame and fixings only.

Flush multi-tenant panels.

Choose the two-unit box for a door phone plus one module; for a door phone with two modules, see the three-unit box.

Installation & safety notice

Fitting. Cut a 209 × 188 × 40 mm (H × W × D) hole, fix the box with the ST4×20 screws and anchors so it sits 0–3 mm below the wall surface and no more than 2° out of level, or, for a simpler install with lower vandal resistance, bed it in cement or adhesive. Join the door phone and modules on the bracket with the M3 screws, wire them, then fix the panel to the box with the M4×15 Torx screws.
